TOBACCO CESSATION OPTIONS FOR UND STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFF

GROUP FREEDOM FROM SMOKING TOBACCO CESSATION CLASSES
(Free to students, faculty, and staff)

The NDPERS Tobacco Cessation Program will cover the cost of class for benefited employees and their dependents age 18 and older. The Office of the President will cover the cost of the class for students, non-benefited employees, their partners and their dependents age 18 and older who are not covered by NDPERS or any other insurance provider or program.

MEDICATIONS

Non-Prescription Medications

  • The North Dakota QUITLINE offers free Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) medications for those who qualify.
  • Benefited faculty, staff, and dependents 18 years of age and older have coverage for free Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and other medications available through the NDPERS Tobacco Cessation Program.
  • The Office of the President will cover up to $100 in Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) for eligible students, non-benefited employees, their partners, and dependents age 18 and older if they are not covered by any other program and they are enrolled in tobacco cessation.
  • Non-prescription quit smoking medications including nicotine patches, gum, and lozenges are available for purchase by students, faculty or staff at the Student Health Services Pharmacy in McCannel Hall or at any local pharmacy.
